If you were obsessed with Tate McRae’s silver studded look on Jimmy Fallon, JT’s custom Grammys gown, or Alex Consani’s CFDA x Vogue Challenge suit, then chances are Grace Ling is a household name. A designer, model, actress, and sculptor, Grace Ling founded her label in 2020 and has since exploded into fame. The brand’s website describes its pieces as “visually recognizable for our 3D-printed metal pieces and sculptural silhouettes.” They also pride themselves on being a zero-waste company that creates high-quality pieces meant to last. This mindset plays into the growing slow fashion movement, where consumers and brands combat the fast fashion notions of disposable clothes that feed into micro-trends. Ling’s commitment to sustainability is one of the many reasons she has found such success with Gen Z celebrities.
The futuristic and environmentally conscious pieces have been featured in performances and red carpet looks alike. From her characteristic silver embellishments to neutral color palettes, Ling leans into the current trend of elevated wearable looks that speak to younger celebrities and fashionistas alike. Given that Ling herself is only 27 years old, it stands to reason that her personal style would align with the taste of clientele who are transitioning into adulthood alongside her.

While Ling’s designs have been featured in luxury department stores such as Bergdorf Goodman's, the brand's brick-and-mortar retail presence has only ever had brief pop-ups or showrooms. That is, until February 8th, 2025, when Ling’s NYC flagship store had a grand opening sponsored by Hennessy. Her good friend and British Fashion Council’s model of the year, Alex Consani, co-hosted the event. Consani has long supported Ling, wearing custom pieces to film premieres, and opening for her 2024 New York Fashion Week show. The store features a wide range of Ling’s designs for purchase and as displays, allowing consumers to get a close-up look at the outfits that have no doubt been dominating their social media feeds. However, anyone who wants to add Grace Ling to their closet had better move fast, as many items are one of a kind or only have one of each size in stock, making the brand truly exclusive.
In the five years since the label's founding, Ling has rapidly reached incredible heights in a cutthroat industry while maintaining her individuality. Even in the first few months of 2025, she has already hit multiple career milestones and solidified her place on the map. Her innovative takes on current trends such as the wet look, silver studding, and geometric silhouettes have won the attention of A-listers and artists alike. Her success is only going to grow as consumers search for sustainably crafted pieces that showcase their individuality without being too avant-garde. It is safe to say that Grace Ling, designs latest it-girl, is here to stay.
