Raandoom Inside: TRIBUCSTOCK

Naples, with its rich cultural heritage and vibrant music scene, provided the perfect backdrop for the Tribucstock Festiwild, an event held from 26 to 28 July in the Vesuvian area, specifically in Palma Campania.

The festival took place in a poetic setting: a pine forest located on the slopes of Vesuvio. Just getting there is a somewhat mystical experience; you have to drive along a road that offers a breathtaking view of the entire city and the sea, which at night is lit up by the myriad lights of the inhabitants.

Within the Pineta Tribucchi, the festival truly found its home. The camping area, equipped with every comfort, including a phone charging station that saved us journalists, made the festival experience even more special. Surrounded by greenery, young people from all over Italy found their own corner, enjoying stunning sunrises, the sound of cicadas post-concert, and spending evenings with perfect strangers who soon felt like family, creating new friendships and sharing beers under the stars. The festival's gastronomic offer, nodding to Neapolitan tradition with sausage and friarielli (a kind of Neapolitan broccoli) sandwiches, various pasta dishes, and other delicacies, was an added value.

Once again, Tribucstock, with its attention to detail, managed to create an unforgettable atmosphere. Scattered throughout the pine forest were numerous signs with quotes from artists, but the first sign you notice upon entering reads “Come a Woodstock, ma si sta più freschi” (Like Woodstock, but it’s colder) - and it truly is. The heart of the festival was an intimate stage, surrounded by fairy lights and wooden benches that created a cozy, homely atmosphere. Behind the artists were a few visuals that complemented the music perfectly, creating a unique audio-visual experience. The setting provided a backdrop to a narrative that celebrates a vibrant, dynamic Naples. A Naples that mobilizes for culture and never stops, despite the challenges.

We had the honor of being media partners for this edition, which allowed us to closely experience every moment of this incredible festival, heralding a very promising period for Naples and fostering hope for an even more thriving future rich in art and culture.

The first day of the festival featured high-caliber artists with a fresh, youthful sound. Among those who performed were Venerus, Dadà, and Ciao! Discoteca Italiana. Venerus enchanted the audience with his “Vinyl Dreams” DJ set: through a selection of records that have influenced his artistic career, he created a unique sonic journey, culminating in an incredible and unexpected live performance. At the end of the set, Venerus came down from the stage, sat among the audience with his guitar, and began to gently share his music, his most authentic self - as if he were an old friend sharing his most intimate stories.

Dadà revived the classics of Neapolitan musical tradition, reinterpreting them with house music sounds. Her magnetic approach captivated everyone, warming up the atmosphere and creating a bridge between past and present, tradition and innovation. Ciao! Discoteca Italiana’s DJ set made everyone dream of being twenty in the '80s, singing Battiato's hits at the top of their lungs in a nightclub. With their Italo-disco selection, we were transported to a dreamlike world of carefree freedom.

The second day of Tribucstock kicked off with Funky Pushertz, a funk hip-hop crew with a beautiful, soulful, and old-school sound. Following this, the stage was set on fire by an incredible performance from La Famiglia, the history of Neapolitan hip-hop, consisting of Polo and ShaOne. They took the stage not only to bring their music but also to deliver a powerful political message. Before starting, in fact, the artists placed a Palestinian flag on the console, highlighting how music can and should be a tool for protest and the fight for human rights, embodying a Naples that never gives up and continues to fight for justice.

In the end, Marco Castello, with his irreverent humor and extraordinary musicians accompanying him, had the crowd singing in unison, creating moments of pure nostalgia, beauty, and connection. One unique heart, one unique voice, but a thousand emotions.

Tribucstock was not just a music festival but a true cultural event with a variety of side activities. Talks and yoga sessions enriched the experience, offering moments of further reconnection with the external environment. Young people also significantly contributed with their personal initiatives, creating an atmosphere of community and human interaction.

We met a collective of girls who organized community painting sessions and later painted with makeup the faces of participants, transforming simple moments of interaction into unique artistic experiences.

Tribucstock proved to be an incredible festival, a cultural landmark for the increasingly vibrant and dynamic Neapolitan cultural scene. A festival with all the credentials to grow and become a fixed event in the city's cultural calendar, continuing to bring music, art, and beauty to the foot of Vesuvio. Naples is a lively city, capable of innovating and surprising, of blending tradition and modernity in an embrace that involves all who participate.

We can't wait to see what the next edition will bring!
