RAANDOOM INSIDE: Superaurora

If people asked me about the SuperAurora Festival, I'd say it was a great festival. But if they asked me about that on a deeper level, I'd tell them it was a one-of-a-kind event that changed the way everyone looks at festivals and that left an unforgettable memory. The SuperAurora Festival, produced by Alcazar, took place at Palazzo Chigi in Rome. Italy’s capital: magical and full of nuances, the perfect backdrop for a day trip or a longer stay. Palazzo Chigi, iconic and rich in culture, was the perfect spot for the festival - full of vibes, energy, and pure humanity. As media partners, we were honored to be there on the second day, and trust me, it was an incredible experience from start to finish.

First off, the stages were perfectly divided and structured. The Pulsar Stage was the natural habitat for funk, Italo disco lovers, and for anyone who can't help but move their feet when there's a groove. Kapote and Ruffillo set the stage on fire: their tunes made everyone dance, and the atmosphere was electric. People danced like no one was watching, lost in the music and living their best lives. Some were voguing with fans, some spilled their beer while dancing and laughing, others just followed the rhythm with their eyes closed, nodding their heads.

On the main stage, the Andromeda Stage, the energy was just as high but with a mix of deeper emotions. Giuse The Lizia, with his carefree and romantic vibe, opened with a set that had the crowd singing with tears in their eyes. It was intimate and beautiful, narrating the story of a simple, relatable guy who created a moment of connection for everyone. A high point was his cover of Arctic Monkeys' “505," which left everyone stunned, switching the mood and setting the stage for Big Mama's explosive energy. The artist, performing right after Giuse, turned up the heat with her sassy attitude and fierce performance. She owned the stage with confidence, accompanied by dancers who had the crowd shouting "SLAY" with their incredible moves.

After Big Mama, Mecna took the stage to break everyone's hearts, taking an emotional journey through his discography with his bittersweet, melancholic songs. The cherry on top: a small snippet of “31/07," a track that always hits hard and made the entire audience cry in a moment of collective emotion. It was raw, real, and deeply resonated with everyone present.

Meanwhile, back on the Pulsar Stage, Jungle kept the energy high with a DJ set that mixed their incredible tracks (which we’ve talked about in another article) with timeless classics. It was an insane party that brought everyone together under one big family, dancing and vibing in harmony, creating a sense of belonging that was simply magical. As the night drew to a close, Masego took the Andromeda Stage and wrapped up the evening with a sexy, smooth, and incredibly romantic performance. His R&B vibes were the perfect end to a day full of diverse sounds and unforgettable moments.

What made the SuperAurora Festival truly special wasn't just the incredible lineup or the stunning location of Palazzo Chigi with its awesome Ferris wheel, huge stages, and nature-immersed setting. It was the people, including the staff. You could feel it from the moment you walked in: a sense of community that united everyone. We at Raandoom met so many wonderful and lively souls, all united by one thing: a sense of belonging. We heard incredible stories and felt connected with some of the attendees as if we had known them forever: some were at their first festival, others were veterans of the music scene, but all were united by a sense of wonder and gratitude for the experience they were living. Festivals can sometimes feel overwhelming or impersonal, but not here: everywhere you looked, there were people dancing, crying, singing together. It didn't matter where you came from or who you were, at SuperAurora everyone was family; strangers became friends, and friends became family.

SuperAurora wasn't just a festival as much as it was a movement. A celebration of music, culture, and the power of coming together. It reminded us that despite the chaos of the world, there are still places where we can find joy and unity, and that, nowadays, is something truly special. And with that spirit, we can't wait to see what the future holds for the SuperAurora Festival. Until next time, keep the vibes high, stay connected, and remember: we're all in this together.
