Pepa Salazar's 2024 Spring Collection

Fashion, according to Valencia-born designer Pepa Salazar, has a life beyond aesthetics. Her collections, drawing on current trends, communicate a message of societal transformation, serving as an excellent example. Her primary goal as a designer has been to explore concepts of mobility and the feminine body through her seductive, stretchy garments. She has adopted her own spring codes but from a completely different angle, one that emphasizes imagination and conflict. Prints with fairytale echoes are a signature of this collection. She has also utilized denim, showcasing the great shapes and suppleness of the garments. Fashion is important because of its "ability to change things," a notion that also influences a method of producing clothing that conserves resources. She stated, "Sometimes, on my mood boards, there are many references to things about anime that I like, for example, typography. My Tous collaboration was inspired by manga and by kawaii designs. Everything you like influences your work in some way. I also enjoy playing video games, so I suppose there's something about them reflected in my designs," in one of her past interviews. Therefore, the influence of Japanese culture on her collections is evident. Pepa Salazar's Spring/Summer collection is showcased in a sensual campaign, shot by Zoe Natale and styled by Helena Tejedor.
