Lucky Love, a rising star in the French music scene, is reshaping the landscape of music and art with his groundbreaking work. Luc Bruyère, known as Lucky Love, employs his musical talents to redefine conventional notions surrounding queerness, love, manhood, and identity as a whole. Described as a "sanctuary for anyone who feels excluded by the dysfunctions of a rotten system" by Glamcut, Lucky Love’s music is bold and inspirational. While the musician has garnered media attention for resembling the iconic Freddie Mercury, he transcends mere imitation, establishing himself as a distinct and accomplished artist in his own right. First and foremost, Lucky Love's objective is queer liberation. As a multifaceted artist—musician, poet, fashion icon, and drag performer—he utilizes his art as a tool for liberation and advocates passionately for LGBTQIA+ and disability rights.

Only 29, he has already left an indelible mark on the music scene. Notably, he premiered the documentary "Lucky" at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2022 and headlined at Munich Pride in July of the same year. The documentary's synopsis is both compelling and moving: "27-year-old French gay artist Luc Bruyère, a model, musician, dancer, and drag queen, who, due to agenesis, lost his left arm at birth and is HIV positive." Lucky Love boldly embraces and showcases his missing arm, rejecting the use of a prosthetic. This aspect of his identity is a source of pride, a testament to his resilience in the face of severe bullying, anorexia, drug addiction, and an HIV diagnosis during his teenage years. Through his journey, he stands as a fighter for his own rights.

Discovering his first creative outlet at a young age, Lucky Love found escape in dancing. His journey led him to join the Madame Arthur cabaret, where he performed as a drag artist and dancer, adopting the stage name La Venus des Mille Hommes (The Venus of a Thousand Men). This moniker was inspired by his resemblance to the iconic Venus de Milo. Within this cabaret community, he not only found an artistic platform but also a sense of belonging, forming bonds that became his community and family. Subsequently, he expanded his artistic repertoire, delving into writing and eventually transitioning into the creation of music. Lucky Love's song "Love" serves as a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community. The song's straightforward message is clear: everyone has the right to love whomever they choose, wherever they choose, and they should take pride in it. However, the video for "Love" faced censorship on YouTube just a year ago. It seems that the powerful and beautiful depiction of two men kissing was deemed too provocative or challenging for some audiences to handle. Lucky Love's 2022 single, "Masculinity," boldly sets the stage for a powerful statement. Fearlessly redefining the term, he remains unbothered by societal norms and stigma, choosing to liberate himself and express his identity freely. With a defiant stance, he declares, "What about my masculinity? It's a middle finger to patriarchy and toxic masculinity." The song is a personal narrative, featuring brilliant and moving lyrics that delve into a highly relevant topic. In an interview with Metal magazine, Lucky Love explained the concept behind the song: “The idea I had behind that song was to show that masculinity does not exist without femininity. While society rehashes numerous examples of how masculinity should be, unrightfully so, I preferred deconstructing the social norm to show that it is more of a complex spectrum, where each and every one of us lies. I intentionally interrogate it in the chorus to show the absurdity of this imposed social norm.” Lucky Love confronts the toxic expectations placed on men, addressing not only how they should act, talk, and dress but also challenging preconceptions about who they should love. Through his art, he provides a platform for young people to define masculinity for themselves, encouraging a more inclusive and nuanced understanding of this complex aspect of identity. In June 2023, Lucky Love released his debut album titled "TENDRESSE." This album not only features the previously mentioned songs but also explores a diverse range of relevant topics through additional tracks. Unapologetically true to himself, Lucky Love continues to own and celebrate his identity with shameless pride across various art forms, including music, dance, and fashion. This album stands as a testament to his commitment to artistic expression and the fearless exploration of meaningful themes that resonate with a wide audience.
