Raandoom Inside: GJF Recap

Gaeta Jazz Festival is back, and just like every year, it has surpassed all expectations, turning the city of Gaeta into an incredible and dynamic stage, surrounded by a truly lively crowd.

This edition brought pure magic and once again proved that this festival is not just a festival but, year after year, has become something more.

Artists took the stage, delivering concerts of all kinds: from deeply emotional ones to those that got everyone on their feet. Parbleu, with their performance, set the Gaeta Jazz Festival stage on fire. With tracks from their albums and phenomenal musicians playing them, they injected the stage with adrenaline, turning the festival into an unmatched party. Those who were seated stood up, kicked off their shoes, and just let loose.

In the previous days, the festival featured Maria Chiara Argirò, one of the most intriguing artists on the contemporary scene. Her performance was a dreamlike journey that captured everyone's imagination. With her smooth sounds, Maria Chiara created an intimate and enveloping atmosphere that captivated the audience. Similarly, Coca Puma, with her nu jazz ensemble and a style that mixes analog and nostalgic sounds, managed to captivate the audience with an intimate and intense performance. Her album "Panorama Olivia" came to life on the festival stage, accompanied by a live show that showcased her ability to blend delicacy with power.

The Gaeta Jazz Festival was not just a celebration of music but a celebration of life itself. It was an occasion for meeting and conviviality, and a moment of learning, as many artists, like Doinel (Quiroga + Bassolino), presented site-specific performances, giving the audience something new to add to their cultural experience. The festival was full of human connection: it attracted people of all ages, creating a welcoming and sweet environment. Children danced to the tunes of C’mon Tigre, young people met for the first time while queuing for ice cream, adults danced barefoot after a beer with wet hair: a simple experience, but full of love and passion.

Gaeta Jazz Festival successfully mixed fun, culture, and relaxation, reaffirming itself as one of the most interesting events of our time. Offering a space where jazz smartly intertwines with summer and carefree moments, the Armonia International Foundation of Arts commits every year to blend all the beautiful things in life, while also focusing on the sense of community, which helps make every moment unforgettable. And if you think Gaeta Jazz Festival is over, you’re greatly mistaken. On August 8, a new date was announced that promises to bring the festival vibes back to the city.

Evita Polidoro will perform at Batteria La Favorita; a great opportunity to keep experiencing the festival's magic, proving once again that it’s not just an annual event but a continuous project aimed at creating something lasting and meaningful. The future programming, with artists of such caliber, clearly shows the intention to keep the attention high and to continue offering quality musical events that enrich the city's cultural life.

If you missed the festival, there’s still time to make up for it. And trust me: there's no better place to feel part of something alive, real, and beautiful.
