Beyond 11:11

You must have often come across a particular reel about manifestation on your FYP, or heard ‘delulu is the only solulu’ from Gen Zs, or seen someone set an alarm for 11:11 PM to make a wish, or seen a journal full of affirmations. But is this real? What does it mean? Does it work? Is this some cult?

Manifestation is known to be one of the oldest practices ever known to mankind. Some people believe that it is as old as the creation of the world itself. It has been used by some of the most influential people in all paths of life. Whether it be Tom Holland, Lady Gaga, or Ashley Graham, a bit of manifestation with hard work can be your key to becoming successful this year! Let’s take a look at some of the ways for you to manifest your desires this year…

Vision Boards

Manifestation literally means turning an idea into reality. One of the most used ways to manifest anything you desire is via Vision Boards. Creating a vision board is the most vivid way to bring your thoughts to color. Trust me, it’s not that easy; merely putting a few pictures together to form a vision board doesn't count as manifestation; you have to actually believe that you deserve those things and they are already on their way to you. Watch the video below, where Ashley Graham sheds light on how she became a covergirl with her vision boards.

Words Of Affirmation

Speak your desires away! Practicing words of affirmations has turned out to be a great way of manifesting for a lot of people. The way you speak about yourself, your career, your dream job, your goals, matters a lot. One tip I would like to share is that you have to speak about your goals as if you have already achieved them. For example, if you plan to buy a designer bag, speak about it as if you already own it. Affirm its existence through your words.

Faith Can Move Mountains

Manifestation isn’t quick and easy like ready-to-eat Ramen; it’s delicious slow-cooked Ribs. The more you practice it, the clearer your goals get. For someone like me, who has been manifesting for a couple of years now, I would like to share a story of how I got my dream job. Ever since I had seen The Devil Wears Prada movie, I desperately wanted to be a part of the fashion industry. Coming from an academic background in finance, it was awfully tough to work in fashion. I tried giving interviews at a lot of fashion houses, but unfortunately, I was rejected in all of them. Until a couple of years ago, when I accepted the fact that I couldn’t be in the fashion industry and started working at my corporate finance job, the universe blessed me with an international magazine’s office just opposite mine. On the same floor, same building. I took this opportunity as a hint and constantly reached out to them for a job. I had faith that I would get it one day, I just had to be patient. Fast forward to a couple of months later, I was building relationships and working with celebrities on behalf of this magazine. The Universe truly works in mysterious ways. Have faith, and good things will come to you!

Law of Attraction

You attract what you are. The most important factor to keep in mind is to be grateful. Grateful for life, for your choices, for the family, people around you, and the opportunities you get on your journey. The more thankful you are for what you have got, the more grateful you will be for what you will get. A lot of writers about manifestation and authors suggest maintaining a journal of gratitude. If you are someone who is about to start their journaling or manifestation journey, I would highly recommend a book named ‘Manifest: 7 Steps to Living Your Best Life’ by Roxie Nafousi.

You should always remember to approach manifestation with an open mind and a positive attitude. It's a personal journey, and different techniques work for different individuals. We hope you find what resonates with you and aligns with your beliefs and goals. Happy Manifesting!
